Ability the measure and/or quantify any pay items in the field and perform the necessary mathematic calculations Performs standard mathematical calculations. Ability to coordinate with contractors' staff and effectively communicate with all parties. Experienced with NCDOT construction inspection and procedures. Verify accuracy of payment requests and invoicing for completed work. Assist with coordinating materials sampling and testing and verifying sufficient testing has been performed. Commensurate with experience, review contract documents to verify compliance with governmental regulations and conformance with project requirements. Able to read and interpret plans, specifications and applicable standards. Must possess good interpersonal and communication skills. Maintains daily reports of inspection work along with detail records of project progress. Under the review and direction of Project Manager, perform field inspection and oversight of construction activities. Demonstrates the Company's vision and mission, while successfully performing its core values related to employees, ethics, operational excellence, safety, integrity and corporate social responsibility.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Provides recommendations to client regarding work progress and challenges encountered.
